This is a high quality grape, one of the best white grape varieties in Spain. The vine grows horizontally with a vigorous stem. It has a small to medium pentagon shaped leaf, with a very short peduncle. The berries are small to medium, usually spherical or elliptical, short and yellow in colour. The seeds are large and can be seen when the grape is held up to the light. It produces very aromatic, full-bodied, glyceric and soft wines. Excellent acidity and a characteristic bitter taste.
